This is a natural, unpolished set of Petrified Wood bookends. It has been sliced on all sides, but quite a bit of the natural, rough areas are left as well. That area of lighter color in the main photo is below the cut surface and is the textured wood pattern. Please note that other than being sliced, it has a nub left from the saw that would prevent it from fitting flush against books in the position of the main photo (if you want, ask and we'll smooth it out). Together they weigh 9 lbs 15 ounces. Nice weight, should be able to support larger size books. Polishing can be done upon request ($60 for one face, both sides). (Additional shipping cost for international purchases. Please email before purchasing.)

This gorgeous piece is a slice of Petrified Wood, nearly a full round. We do not know the locality, we received it some years back as part of an old collection. Beautiful rich colors in it. It measures approximately 8" x 5 5/8" x a little over 1/2" thick. It weighs 1 lb 10 ounces. It is not polished, but is a beautiful specimen even as-is. (If you would like it polished, we can do so for an additional polishing price.)

Petrified Wood Slab Item: 4328 Price: $55.00
The stone in the main photo is a polished slice from a fossilized tree, alive during the Triassic Period. A purchase of this item would NOT give you this specific piece, but one of similar quality to those shown in the photos. Each piece is a unique beauty, no two pieces are exactly alike. The sizes range from 2 1/4" to 4" and between 3/8 to 1/2" thick. We have a limited number of them available. You can purchase directly through Amazon.com or buy here. Petrified Wood Slab Item# 4012 Price: $29.50
This is a polished slice of Petrified Wood. Though this one has sold, we still have another one or two pieces of similar type (not necessarily polished). We are not ourselves expert on Wood, but we were told by someone that is, that this piece 'looks like Upper Triasic, Chin Lee, possibly a member of the Painted Desert.' He also said that it 'passes for Arau Cario Xylon Arizonicum,' but it's not. He continued, that it may be from Paria River Area, southern Utah. If you would like to see photos of the other pieces we have, contact us and we will add it to our list of priorities.
