[Other side, with ruler comparison] [Close-up (sorry - blury!)] [Photographed with light from behind]This is another slice of Dendritic Agate from Rio Negro, Uruguay. There are a few black dendrites in this piece, as well as areas of thin red hairs of moss, and even snow-like inclusions. Very neat material! It is roughly 2 1/2" x 1 7/8" and 4-5 mm thick. It weighs 28 grams, or 1 ounce. It was photographed wet.

This is a pretty little Jasper-Agate slab. We aren't sure what type, or where it came from. It is roughly 2 3/4" x 1 5/8" at its wider points, and 4 mm thick. It weighs 20 grams, or 8/10 of an ounce.

[On black background]This is a slab of Blue Lace Agate - a great deal for the price on this one! It is 2" x 1 5/8" and slightly over 6 mm thick. It weighs 35 grams, or 1.2 ounces. There are some small pits about the middle of one side, and the other has a black mark across the surface (probably a saw mark), but it is otherwise very nice and should yield one or more beautiful cabs!

This is a slab of Jasper-Agate from Rainbow Ledge from the Randsburg/Inyokern area of the El Paso Mountains (Mojave Desert of California). The material is often referred to as Rainbow Ridge Jasp-Agate. My understanding is the rock club that has the claim on this material says it is actually Rainbow Ledge, but it is even written Rainbow Ridge in some of the gem trail books. Either way, some awesome material has come from this area. To me, this piece is one of those. It is about 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" and just under 5 mm thick. It weighs 2.4 oz, or 69 grams. There are a few possible fracture lines, and a couple small pockets (including one filled with druse) as well.

[Full slab view]This is a slab of dendritic agate from Rio Negro, Uruguay. The person we bought this material from referred to as "Dino" Dendritic Agate because he discovered it while digging for dinosaur fossils in Uruguay. It was below the fossil beds, and he said that makes the material about 65 million years old. It is roughly 4 1/4" x 3 5/8" at its wider points, and 5 mm thick. It weighs 102 grams, or 3.6 ounces. The main photo was taken with light from behind.
