Mexican Agates are some of our very favorite stones - the awesome Laguna Agates, Coyamito and Agua Nueva Agates are top on our list. However, there are numerous other Mexican Agates that also have amazing beauty, such as the Moctezumas, Parcelas Agates, and the Crazy Lace stones. Below are some of the beautiful stones we've had pass through our hands. Some of these may still be available for sale, others not. But we hope you enjoy looking at these beauties.

Coyamito Agate

Coyamito Agate Nodule with Pseudomorph and Tube Formations

This is a polished Coyamito Agate nodule with gorgeous patterns and colors in it - from the pale peachy-pink crystal area, it is surrounded by a swirling golden ribbon, and then extends off in directions with reds and purples and even another small area of peach! It is about 5" x 3 1/2" on the face and sits at an angle as the back tapers from about 1/2" up to 2 1/4". It weighs 495 grams, or 1.2 pounds. The fracture lines are clearly visible in the photos, but they are much less noticeable when looking at it naturally. To me, it is an amazing, wonderful specimen!

Moctezuma Agate

Peach with Translucent Blue Moctezuma Nodule (Laguna?)

We have this piece noted as a Moctezuma Agate nodule, but it might be a Laguna, we aren't sure. Either way - a really pretty piece! It is about 2 1/2" x 1 1/8" and goes back to a point, about 1 1/2" thick. It weighs roughly 51 grams, or 1.8 ounces.

Laguna Agate

Polished Laguna Agate - Moss, Bullseye

This is an awesome polished Laguna Agate nodule. This spectacular piece is 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" on the face and about 2 1/4" deep, weighing just over 1 lb. The patterns continue to the unpolished back where a bullseye is even visible.

Laguna Lace Agate

Laguna Lace Agate Specimen with Botryoidal Druse

This is a large piece of Laguna Lace Agate. It is polished flat up to the edge of the rough rock on the one side. The rest of the rock is the natural, unpolished specimen, including a most impressive display of a druse-covered, botryoidal-shaped, crystal cavity! The specimen is 9 1/2" long x 3 3/4 to 5" wide, and 1 1/2 to 3" thick. It weighs 5 lbs, 3.5 ounces (2.37 kg). The pocket you see on the polished side (main photo) leads to that crystal cavity on the other side. An amazing display of Mother Nature's work in this one unique piece!

Laguna Agate Cabochon

Stunning Laguna Agate Collector Cabochon

This is a gorgeous cabochon cut from a premium piece of Laguna Agate, with colors of boysenberry and pale peach, against a blueberry base. Even the polished-flat back side is just an awesome example of this specimen! It weighs 32.8 carats, 39 x 20 x 6 mm.

Laguna Agate Pair

Awesome Laguna Agate or Agua Nueva Nodule with Druse Pocket

This is both sides of a polished Laguna Agate nodule, though it is possible it is actually an Agua Nueva. Either way, a stunning pair! It was one of an old collection we acquired of uncut Mexican Agates. The lavendar crystals are framed by a cranberry ribbon with delicate dabbings of moss in it. Both sides are each roughly 2 1/4" x 1 1/8" at their wider points and 17-18 mm thick. Together they weigh 71 grams, or 2.5 ounces. Totally awesome pieces for any collection!

Parcelas Agate

Domed Parcelas Agate Nodule - It's Snowing!

This is a Parcelas Agate nodule, domed on the top, the rough nodule on the back. These agates come from near where Laguna Agates are collected, and are often filled with little 'snowy' flakes! It measures roughly 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" and tapers from the sides to center up to 13 mm. It weighs 25 grams, or 9/10 of an ounce. Please note that the coloring is whiter than it appears in the further away shots. A very neat specimen to add to any collection.
