This is a piece of Jadeite from Guatemala. It has gorgeous color - a beautiful blue/green, and stunning translucence when held up to the light as well. The darker splashes of color look like they are actually purple. It is a little over 3 1/8" x 3 3/4" at its widest points, and 6 mm thick. It weighs 100 grams, or 3.5 ounces (about 503 carats). It has several fractures as visible in the photos, but plenty of room for several high quality, gorgeous cabochons!

This is a beautiful, large unpolished slice of Sowbelly Amethyst Agate. It comes from the Last Chance Mine, a silver mine in Creede, Colorado. There are often small black specs in the material that comes from this mine, at least some of which we understand to be silver. This specific slice has a few specs on one end, which may or may not be silver, but the beauty is in this larger slab itself. It is 5 1/2" x 4 3/4" and 8 mm thick. It weighs 330 grams, or 11.7 ounces. If thought is for cabbing, please note the fracture lines, as visible in the last two photos of the slide show. This is a larger slice so will not fit in the small flat rate box, so for U.S. only, the $16 price includes an extra $2 for shipping (international buyers, please email).

This is a large, thick slice of Picture Jasper. It looks like it might be African Queen, but we aren't positive. It measures 7" x 5 1/4" at its widest points, and it is thick - a little over 1" thick. While not fully polished, it is very smooth and feels like it has had a degree of grinding/polishing. It's a beautiful large slice!

This is a large piece of rough purple Goldstone, or what may also be referred to as blue Goldstone. The photos don't do it justice - it is very sparkly, and I was only able to capture a little of this with the camera. It is not natural stone, rather man-made glittering, sparkling glass. Similar to the more commonly seen 'red' or copper colored Goldstone, it is the flecks of copper that it is made with that give it the sparkle. It is about 7" x 6 1/2", and 1 7/8 to 2 5/8" thick. It weighs 9 lbs, 6 ounces, or 4.27 kilograms. Like stone, it takes a beautiful polish. Lots of potential with this one for whatever you may have planned. Please note that it will not fit in the small Flat Rate box, so $5 extra is included in the price to cover shipping in the U.S. International buyers, please email first.

This slice of Spider Web Jasper is a nice, solid slab. It definitely has some of the rough spots and pits that are often found in this material, but one side of this is especially nice. It is roughly 3 1/2" x 3 1/4" and 7 mm thick. It weighs 3.6 ounces, or 100 grams. Please note that the white spots in the photos are just light reflections.

[Other side, with writing] [Close-up first side] [Close-up other side] [Another close-up of one end] [Size comparison, photographed on black, but looks a little too organge] [A closer view on black, but colors are actually slightly more intense in person, even dry!] [Photographed dry (does NOT look this washed out in person)] [Other side dry]This is a really unusual slab, and we believe a rare one, from the Mojave Desert of California. Our guess would have been an amazing piece of Chapenite. But it has 'Crawfordite, Ludlow, Calif' written on one side. We're not sure this actually is what it says it is, but at the very least, it is a gorgeous stone, and what looks like a brecciated jasp-agate. It is about 3 1/4" x 2" and 4 mm thick. It weighs 1.5 oz, or 43 grams. Looks like a fracture line near the center, and a little bit of some kind of residue on one side. A really unique piece!

[Photographed wet, in sunshine, drying quickly in some cases] [Photographed inside, poor lighting, dry] [Another photo dry, inside, compared to a ruler for size comparison] [Close-up (again, in sunshine)] [Another close-up] [Closer on a couple larger pieces] [Closer shot of two others] [One more view wet]This is 1 pound of pieces and small slabs of rough Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan. The individual we got this material from made custom banister rails, lamp stands, clocks, and other beautiful pieces of furniture. These are pieces sliced off from what he used. A few pieces have circular cuts to them, possibly where cores were drilled from the full stone, others are mostly flat or tapering from a thin edge, sliced pieces, some end pieces (one or two might have a little polish or epoxy on them, but that's rare). The natural coloring, wet, is NOT as bright as it looks in the photos, NOT bright royal blue. But it is beautiful color, just a little darker overall. Most of the batch has calcite and/or pyrite throughout, with some pieces having more or less than others. Some pieces are not quite as nice as others. We do not cut many small cabs, but if you do, there may still be some waste but you should be able to get a number of nice cabs, not all just small. Your selection will come from this batch, but not necessarily one of the specific pieces shown. We have a limited number of pieces available, so if you want more than 1 pound, please e-mail first.

This is a larger piece of Imperial Jasper. It is a beautiful almost 'wine' color in that darkest area, lighter in the rest. The photos don't do it justice - the coloring is closest to what it looks like dry, but it has a richer color than that. It is about 4 1/2" x 4 3/8" and 7 mm thick. It weighs 5.7 ounces, or 165 grams. It is a really nice piece for a number of gorgeous cabs, or even to polish and display. (Note that the white spots in the photos are light reflections.

This is is another Agate slab, off the same rock as the above slab, #1880. As noted above, it may or may not be a Death Valley Wingate slab, but from all the online photos I've compared it to, it seems like it to me. This one is about 3" x 2 1/4" at its wider points, and 7 mm thick. It weighs 359 carats, or 71.8 grams (2.5 ounces). It has a fracture near one edge as you can see in the photos, and several porous areas.

This is a slab off of some really neat looking material we found in Quartzite this year. The person we bought it from called it Paisley Jasper, and said he collected it himself from Northern Nevada. It's about 3" x 2 1/4" at its wider points, and 6 mm thick. It weighs 44.4 grams, or 1.5 ounces. There are a few faint lines that could be fractures, but it feels pretty solid, and still looks like room for a unique and intriguing cab or two.

This is a gorgeous, unpolished full slice of Agate from Argentina. We bought a small batch of rough nodules while in Tucson this year, all labeled as Puma Agates, and this slice is from the first piece we cut. While most of those we see elsewhere online are the nodule halves, we sliced this one onto slabs. Each piece is absolutely gorgeous. It is roughly 4 1/2x 4 at its wider points, and just over 6 mm thick. Please note that we have called this Puma Agate, as that is how it was labeled by the vendor (who to our knowledge is a reputable vendor, in Tucson every year). However, we had a message from a different vendor, from Argentina, who said this is actually from Sierra de Chachahuen. So if locality is important to you, please be aware of that. But if your interest is more the beauty, it certainly meets that qualification, wherever it is from!

The slab overall is about 2 1/8" x 1 1/2", and 7 mm thick. It weighs 33.5 grams, or 1.2 ounces. This is a slab of Russian Charoite, thought to be named for the area where found, near the Chara River. We believe this slab to be a really nice, high quality piece. However, please note that is our opinion, and not by any official grading standard. There are black needle-like crystals in it called aegirine, and it has a beautiful, velvety chatoyance. Absolutely gorgeous material! It is 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" at its wider points, and 7-8 mm thick. It weighs 502 carats, or 100 grams (3.5 ounces).

If you want more than one batch, please email us to ensure we have not sold the rest through eBay. The individual we got this material from made custom banister rails, lamp stands, clocks, and other beautiful pieces of furniture. These are pieces sliced off from what he used. Some have a degree of polish on one or both sides, others rough and unpolished. It is also possible there could be epoxy on some. The second and third photos in the slide show are of this batch specifically (your selection will come from this batch, but not necessarily one of the specific pieces shown). The pieces in this batch are mostly over 1" up to about 2" one direction. Some are longer and narrower, a few pieces are very, very thin (just thin sheets like might be useful for intarsia), while others (most) are thicker, some up to 1/2 to 3/4." Patterns vary - some are more plain, some have nice lines, while a few have some really neat patterns. Some pieces have circular cuts to them, possibly where cores were drilled from the full stone, others are mostly flat. Each selection we pull will most likely include some of the circular cut pieces, but it will also have more slab-like pieces as well. Depending on your plans for this material, there could be some waste, but most of it has really nice potential.

[Ful slab, on black background]This is a beautiful unpolished slab of dendritic agate from Rio Negro, Uruguay, commonly known as "Merlinite". The main photo and several others were taken with light from behind which highlights the dendrites. Some of the lines you see in the photos in the slide show are fractures (see dry photos), but still room for some beautiful cabs. But to me it is even a gorgeous display piece, especially if displayed with light from behind. It is roughly 3 5/8" x 3 1/8" and 5 mm thick. It weighs 88 grams, or 3.1 ounces. One side has a 7 marked on it, but it should polish off. Nice potential!

[Shot of the whole slice]This is a gorgeous, unpolished full slice from a larger Condor Agate. The colors are stunning, and carnival like, almost like a skilled artist painted this beauty! This piece would be absolute killer if it did not have the fractures. However, it unfortunately does. But to me, even with the fractures, it is just an amazing slice of rock. It is 6 1/2" x 3 3/8" at its widest points, and 8 mm thick. It weighs 230 grams, or 8.2 ounces. You could certainly cut a number of beautiful cabs from this one, but to me, it would be an amazing polished specimen slab, despite the fractures.

This is a really pretty, small Laguna Agate nodule, rough and unpolished. A nice peachy-pink wth lavender bands, and parallax (a shadow affect)! It is 2" x 1 1/8" and 20-24 mm thick. It weighs a total of 346 carats, or 69.3 grams (2.4 ounces). There is an obvious fracture line visible on the surface. We are pretty sure this is a Coyamito Agate. It has light pink and yellowish coloring, but Sagenite formations as well (sagenite formations are needle-like mineral growths, often in a fan-type shape). It is roughly 2 1/8x 1 7/8 and mostly 15-24 mm thick. It weighs 77 grams, or 2.7 ounces. The pocket itself does not have crystals, but is just matrix. This is a slab of Chrysoprase. It has beautiful color! If you were comparing it to some of the highest quality Chrysoprase, it is probably a shade or two below that, but never-the-less, really pretty material. The main photo was taken with light from behind - it is not that bright on its own. It looks pretty clean, as you can see from the slide show photos. Don't know if the lines you see are actually fractures, or just feathers in the material. Should be able to cut one or more gorgeous cabs from this one. Overall, including the matrix area you see, it is about 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" and 7 mm thick. It weighs 172 carats, or 34 grams (1.2 ounces). All photos were taken wet except where they say dry..

This is a slab of Howlite from Tick Canyon, near Saugus, California. Howlite is a calcium-silicate mineral. The material makes nice cabs with its spider web patterns. Though it is naturally white, and many times with black spider-webbing lines, the material is often dyed other colors because it apparently easily accepts a dye. This one is a brighter white than it looks in the photos, and it is accented with small brown spots, which actually gives it, to me, more character! Our understanding is that this material often fluoresces blue, while these little brown spots fluoresce yellow. It is roughly 5" x 3" and 5-6 mm thick. Weight is 115 grams, or 4.1 ounces.

[On black background, same side opposite direction] [Other side] [One side dry] [Other side dry]This is a larger slab of Rhodonite, lots of pink in it, less black. We aren't sure where this piece came from, possibly Lime Kiln Creek along the California coast(?). It was photographed outside, on the ground in natural light in the main shot. The color is closest to this photo. The other photos, as seen in the slide show, were taken inside, on black background under fluorescent lighting. The black looks greenish on those, but it is actually black. It also has kind of a dirty film on it. That might be in the material, or possibly oil residue, though it does not feel like oil. So it may or may not go away when polished. It is 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" and 10 mm thick. It weighs 580 grams, or 1 pound, 4 ounces.
