We had this one marked as a Laguna Agate nodule, and then we thought it might actually be a Coyamito Agate, though neither quite looked as we thought they should. HOWEVER, since that point we've learned more and more, and I just noticed the back on this one. Judging from the matrix, I'm pretty sure it is actually a Mexican Snowball Agate. (No photos of the back right now, but will take some soon, or upon request if you don't see the back before I get to it!) Our understanding is that Snowballs may be weathered agate cores of fully expanded thundereggs. Please note that it is domed on the surface, the rough nodule on the back. It is approximately 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" and is between 9-19 mm in thickness. It weighs 28 grams, just less than an ounce. (Contact us if you prefer USPS First Class shipping for less.)

This is a set of polished stone bookends, some kind of jasper-agate. All four sides are cut and polished and the very top is the uncut rock. Felt lines the bottom. There is a very small crystal-filled cavity on one side. The base of each one of the triangular-cut sides is just over 4 1/4", or about 8 3/4" together. The depth is just over 3" wide. They stand about 6" high in the center. Together they weigh about 11 pounds, 6 ounces. Sturdy bookends, should be able to support larger size books. (Additional shipping cost for international purchases. Please email first.)
