Large, Thick Picture Jasper Slab

This is a large, thick slice of Picture Jasper. It looks like it might be African Queen, but we aren't positive. It measures 7" x 5 1/4" at its widest points, and it is thick - a little over 1" thick. While not fully polished, it is very smooth and feels like it has had a degree of grinding/polishing. It's a beautiful large slice!

Blue Biggs Jasper Slab

Colorful Blue Biggs Jasper Slab

This is a beautiful slice of Blue Biggs Jasper. In natural lighting, it is a little darker than it looks under the lights, but it is rich in colors - browns and kind of dark purplish/blue. It is roughly 4 1/4" x 2-3 1/4" and 7 mm thick. It weighs 4.7 ounces, or 130 grams. You can see in photos of the other side that it is wider on one side, thinner on the other as it tapers in thickness.

China Hollow Biggs Slab

China Hollow Biggs Jasper Slab with Blue Chalcedony, Awesome Patterns

This is a slab of Biggs Jasper from the China Hollow Mines in Oregon. It apparently is Biggs Jasper, but not from the most common mines, though we've also just started seeing it other places listed as Picture Rock. Either way, it takes a beautiful polish! The slabs from this specific rock have some very neat looks to them ... most have what looks like a white Opalite material running through, and it has a little Blue Chalcedony veining, plus a few dendrites as well. This piece is roughly 4" x 3 1/2" at its wider points, and weighs 140 grams, or 5 ounces. It was photographed wet.

This is a nice slab of Biggs Jasper. It is roughly 2 1/2" x 2" and just under 5 mm thick. It weighs 34 grams, or 1.2 ounces. It was photographed wet. The actual coloring is kind of between the variations you see in the photos.

China Hollow Biggs Jasper Slab with Blue Chalcedony

This is an awesome slice of China Hollow Biggs Jasper. It has a vein of Blue Chalcedony running through it, mixed with a stark white material. It has mostly a smooth surface except a pocket in the center of the largest area of Chalcedony. The size is 5 1/2" x 5" at its widest points, 7 mm thick, and weighs 210 grams, or 7.5 ounces.
