Large Petrified Palm Root Oval Cabochon, 52 x 28 mm

This is a Petrified Palm Root cabochon. It has kind of an abstract-art-look to it and wonderful soft colors. Polished on both sides, this beauty measures just under 52 x 38 mm and 4.6 mm thick. Weight is 5.2 grams (less than an ounce). First Class shipping available upon request.

Lavic Siding Jasper Cabochon

Freeform Lavic Siding Jasper Cabochon

This cabochon was cut from a piece of Jasper collected from the Lavic Siding area of the Mojave Desert in California. The coloring in the photos is pretty close to how it looks naturally, but it brightens in direct or sun lighting. It measures approximately 49 x 31 x 5.6 mm and weighs 4/10 of an ounce, or 12.2 grams. First Class shipping available upon request.

Rhodonite Heart Cabochon

Large 2x2 inch Rhodonite Heart Cabochon

This is a large Rhodonite heart cabochon - a soft pink with a touch of black accents along the edge. It is a little less than 2" x 2" (apx 50x50 mm) and 5.5 mm thick and weighs 26.8 grams, or 9/10 of an ounce. This piece was cut by lapidary artist S.A.Wittick. Australian Waglstone Cabochon

Wagl Stone Cabochon from Australia

This is a nice size cabochon cut from a beautiful rhyolite, possibly a jasper. We're usually on the look-out for unusual materials. The person we got the material from called it Wagl Stone Jasper, and he collected it from Western Australia. Weighing 75 cts, or 15.1 grams, it measures 56 x 39.4 mm at its widest points, and just under 6 mm thick. First Class shipping available upon request.

Large Graveyard Plume Agate Collector Cabochon

This is a Graveyard Plume Agate cabochon. It is a very large free-form design, being just under 85 x 46 mm (3 1/3" x a little less than 1 7/8"). It weighs 33.1 grams, or 1.2 ounces. It has been polished front and back and along the thin edge, with the very bottom left as the natural edge of the rock. First Class shipping available upon request.

Lapis Cabochon

Lapis Lazuli Shield Cabochon

This is a shield-shaped Lapis Lazuli cabochon. The material is from Afghanistan. The coloring of this piece is a little darker blue than it looks in the photos - not as 'royal' as it appears. It is 47 x 31 mm at its widest points, and just under 7 mm thick. It weighs 17.2 grams (86 carats). It is polished on the sides and front, the back is not polished. All ready for a special setting!

Queensland Cabochon

Gorgeous Little Queensland Agate Cabochon

This is a Queensland Agate cabochon, from Agate Creek, Australia. It is 29 x 14 mm at its widest points, and 4 mm thick. It weighs 13.2 carats. Chapenite Cabochon

Brecciated Peach Chapenite Cabochon

This is a Chapenite teardrop cabochon. The material comes from the Mojave Desert, and is basically agate and jasper that was crushed and separated by earth movement millions of years ago, and then cemented back togeteher. It is 34 x 21 mm and just under 5 mm thick. It weighs 22.5 carats. First Class shipping available upon request.

Jadeite Cabochon

36 ct Dark Green Jadeite Cabochon

This is a beautiful custom-cut Guatemalan Jadeite cabochon. It is 64 x 19 mm at its widest points, and 5 mm thick. It weighs 36 carats. It looks very dark in natural lighting, but move it around with a light on it and you can notice some tiny shiny flecks in it - almost a chatoyance. Not sure what they are, and was not able to capture them in any photo, but to me, they add to the beauty of the stone. You see a mottled pattern in it when viewed in the light as well. It has a nice translucence with light from behind. Pretty stone.

Imperial Jasper Cabochon

Rectangular Imperial Jasper Cabochon

This is an awesome little Imperial Jasper cabochon, another little 'gem' we found in Tucson. It's rectangular in shape, and filled with orbicular patterns. It is 27 x 16 mm and 5-6 mm thick. It weighs 21.9 carats. It is nicely polished on the sides and face. Back is unpolished.

Psilomelane Cabochon

Psilomelane AKA 'Black Hematite' Cabochon

This is a cabochon cut from Psilomelane, a type of manganese ore, often referred to as Black Hematite. Beautiful pieces from this rare material when cut and polished - very shiny, hematite-looking in parts, though more black, but often with swirly lines, like you see in this one. It is 35 x 31 mm and 6 mm thick. Please note that it is not squarely cut, or rectangular, more free-form. It weighs 59 carats. We did not cut this one ourselves, it was just one of several really nice small cabs we bought, from an artisan selling in Tucson. First Class shipping available upon request.

Psilomelane Cabochon   Item# 2169   Price: $20.00  

Large Coyamito Cabochon

219 ct Coyamito Agate Specimen Cabochon

This is a polished slice from a Coyamito Agate from Chihuahua, Mexico. A beautiful amber-colored fortification ribbon around the edge of this beauty, with a slight hint of parallax in one area. It is open at the top but from the back side, you can see it is lightly connected on the back. It has a polish on both sides, but the edge has been left natural (except the bottom area where the rock was chipped into when digging it out). It is roughly 3" x 2" and 6-7 mm thick, weighing 219 carats, or 44 grams (1.5 ounces). This would make a stunning focal point as a large necklace, but equally as awesome just as a specimen.
