These are some of the unpolished slabs and rough we have for sale of Stone Canyon Jasper, a brecciated Jasper-Agate from near a little town called Parkfield, known for the San Andreas Fault running through it and quite a bit of seismic testing is done there. This is an unpolished slab of Stone Canyon Jasper/Agate. It is roughly 3 1/2" x 3 1/4" 6 mm thick. It weighs 3.1 ounces, or 88 grams. This was from an old-stock collection and a prior owner put templates on one side (last photo). They will come off but might take a little effort or grinding off. Photos include wet (to get an idea of what they will look like when polished) and dry.

Stone Canyon Brecciated Jasper Slab

This is another unpolished slab of brecciated Stone Canyon Jasper, with some very cool patterns. It measures 6 1/2" diagonally, but otherwise, about 3 to 4 1/2" x 3 1/4". It is thinner - 5 to 5.4 mm, and weighs 4.1 ounces, or 117 grams. There are a few possible fractures in it - most of the lines you see are not fractures, but if you look at the last two photos (taken dry), you can spot some very thin white lines upon close inspection. Those feel like possible fractures, especially at the edge.

Stone Canyon Jasp-Agate Slab

This is another slice of Stone Canyon Jasper/Agate. It measures about 3 3/4" x 3" at its widest points, and about 5.8 mm thick. It weighs 2.8 ounces, or 80 grams. There are stuck-on templates on the back from a prior owner - they should be able to be removed with a little work, or just some grinding. You can also see on the front, in the 2nd photo close-up, what looks like '75' with an aluminum pencil. That should polish out.
