This is a piece of Dryhead Agate, a single piece we found out in a batch of miscellaneous old stock material we were sorting. It is nearly a complete half nodule and even looks like it has had some grinding so it is very smooth but no shine. It is ready to be polished as a beautiful display piece, unless 'natural' is preferred. Or, some nice cabochons could be cut if desired instead. It's 4 1/2" x 3" and a little under 1" on one end and a little over 1" on the other, and weighs 13.8 oz.

U.S. shipping cost: $8.00

Richardson's Ranch Thunderegg

Unpolished Richardson's Ranch Thunderegg

This is a very neat unpolished Thunderegg, we think from Richardson's Rock Ranch. It is roughly 3 1/2" x 3" and about 2 1/2" thick. It weighs 600 grams, or 1 lb, 5 ozs. It is not polished, but it has had a bit of sanding already. Beautiful, colorful patterns in this one, but please note that in natural lighting, it is not as bright as it looks in the photos. Additionally, it was photographed wet in most of the photos.

U.S. shipping cost: $8.75

This cabochon was cut from a piece of Jasper collected from the Lavic Siding area of the Mojave Desert in California. The coloring in the photos is pretty close to how it looks naturally, but it brightens in direct or sun lighting. It measures approximately 49 x 31 x 5.6 mm and weighs 4/10 of an ounce, or 12.2 grams. First Class shipping available upon request.

Paul Bunyan Agate Cabochon

Paul Bunyan Plume Agate Specimen Cabochon

This is a large and beautiful Paul Bunyan Plume Agate cabochon. It is 67 x 30 mm at the widest points, and 5 mm thick. It weighs 67 carats. It is nicely polished on both the front as well as on the back. S.A. Wittick is the artist on this piece. It is a nice specimen cabochon from this rare material, but would also make a stunning focal point in a special jewelry design! One of the slide show photos shows it with a bail for a pendant, but it is just for the idea, does not come that way. You can purchase through Amazon or here. First Class shipping available upon request.

U.S. shipping cost: $8.00

Oregon Thunderegg

Unpolished Oregon Thunderegg with Common Opal & Dendrites

This is another thunderegg with some common opal in it, but it also has awesome little dendrites as well. It is not polished at all. It is another of the numerous miscellaneous sliced pieces from any of the various collections we've acquired. We believe it is from Oregon, Richardson's Ranch, probably Blue Bed. It is 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" and 22-23 mm thick. It weighs 217.9 grams, or 7.6 ounces

U.S. shipping cost: $8.75

[2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

This is a another sphere made from Travertine (Mojave Desert). It is a larger one, just a quarter inch less than 4" in diameter. It weighs 2 lbs, 13.5 ounces. 'Travertine' is often seen as a material used in making countertops, but it is also popular by lapidary artists for various types of polished stones. In natural lighting the color is closer to how it looks in the photos on light background, but when moved under direct light or sunlight, the colors become more apparent. There are some natural flaws in it as visible in the photos.

U.S. shipping cost: $8.00

[2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]

This is a pretty little thunderegg. Unfortunately we're not sure of the locality on this one. My first guess would be Black Rock Desert, or maybe from the Black Agate Mine area of Wiley's Well? Kind of a brick red matrix with clear and black agate, and a very small area of waterlines. It is about 1 3/4" x 2" and 14 mm thick. It weighs 53.4 grams, or 1.8 ounces. First Class shipping available upon request.

U.S. shipping cost: $8.75
