Translucent BC Jade Slab

BC Jade Translucent Slab with Chromium Inclusions

This is a piece of Nephrite Jade from the Cassiar Mountain area of British Columbia, Canada. It has beautiful bright green Chromium inclusions in it, with translucence and patterns. It measures 4-5" wide x 1/2"-2 1/8" x apx 3-5 mm on the small section of the rough end (left end in 1st photo, right end in 2nd photo), but mostly 6-7 mm on most of the slab. It weighs 107 grams, or 3.8 ounces. You can see what looks like a fracture line extending out from that rough end. Other lines appear to be healed. Nice piece of Jade with lots of interest.

Translucent Green Jade Slab

This is a squared slab of Jade with nice translucence in the piece (see 2nd and 3rd photos of slide show). It measures apx 2 1/8" x 1 7/8" x just under 8 mm thick, It weighs 62.1 grams, or 2.2 ounces.

Jade with Magnetite Slab

Old Stock Rare Jade with Magnetite Slab

This is another rare slice of Jade with Magnetite. It is a very dark green, almost black Jade with Magnetite 'flowers in it. In natural light the Magnetite is dark and not very easily seen unless caught in the light. And we have seen some even more magnificent finished pieces where the Magnetite was gold-electroplated with stunning results! This one measures roughly 5 1/2" x 4", and 6.3 mm thick. It weighs 203 grams, or 7.2 ounces.

Jade Slab

Large Dark Green Nephrite Jade Slab

This is a large slice of Jade. It is a nice solid piece. In hand it looks almost black, but it is actually green, and it does have some translucence to it, visible in one of the photos taken with light from behind. Locality is unknown, but guessing possibly California. It weighs 1 lb, 2 ounces, or 505 grams, and measures roughly 8" x 5 1/4" x 7.2 mm.
