Top Quality Alianza Laguna Agate Slab

This is a stunning slice of a premium Laguna Agate, from the Alianza Claim in Mexico. It's very colorful and there are no visible fractures. There is a very small open crystal pocket going through it in the center. It measures 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" and 5.8 mm thick. Its weight is 51.5 grams or 1.81 ounces. Small Premium Alianza Laguna Agate Slab

This little beauty is a premium Laguna Agate slab, from the Alianza Claim in Mexico. It is unpolished, with wonderful cabochon potential on both sides, or - keep it as the amazing little specimen as it is, whether natural or polished. It measures a little under 2 1/4" x 3/4 to 1 1/2" and around 5.4 mm thick. The weight is 22 grams, or 8 ounces. First Class shipping available for less upon request.

Mexican Agate Slab

Mexican Agate Slab - Possibly Apache Agate

This is an unpolished Mexican Agate slab with a deep, dark red and purple/blue. This fabulous stone was part of an old batch of rough we acquired from older gentleman who was the collector of it. He traveled all over Mexico sometime back in the 1960's or 1970's. We aren't sure exactly what kind of Mexican Agate it is - we thought a Laguna Agate, or possibly an Agua Nueva. But someone suggested it might be an Apache Agate, and those found with a google search look closer than any other type we've found. Whatever type, it's a beauty! It is dark in natural lighting, but brightens in the light. It is roughly 4" x 1 - 2 3/8" and 7 - 8.7 mm thick. It weighs 85 grams, or 3 ounces. Laguna Agate Slab

Unpolished Old Stock Laguna Agate Slab with Parallax

This is a slice of a Laguna Agate. There is parallax visible (parallax is a 3D, shadow effect - when you move it back and forth, it's like you are seeing down into the stone). It also has wonderful, delicate patterns along the edges, including a little Sagenite. There are saw marks on one side that should polish off if polishing, and the other side has an uneven saw cut. It measures 3" x 2 1/2" x 1/4" in the thicker area and 3/16" (just under 5 mm) in the thinnest. It weighs 60.9 grams, or 2.1 ounces.

Mexican Agate Slab

Unpolished Colorful Mexican Agate Slab, Old Stock

This is a very neat slice of a Mexican Agate! We're not sure but it could be a Laguna, having come from an old collection we once acquired. The pattern on one side has a cryptocrystalline center ('crypto-' as in 'hidden' or hard to see the structure of the tiny quartz crystals) surrounded by colorful banding. Turn it over and you see an abundance of other formations going on in this stone! It's not very large, just 2 1/2" x 2 1/2", and 1/4* thick (6.4 mm). It weighs 46.7 grams, or 1.6 ounces.

Baby Laguna Agate End Piece

Unpolished Premium Baby Laguna Agate End Piece

Fabulous pattern in this very small end piece. It was the first piece off a premium Laguna Agate from the Alianza Claim. The other pieces of this one had parallax, but not quite making any out in this one. Still - if you like baby specimens, it's a beauty, with its raspberry and peach colored banding. PLEASE NOTE that it is very thin on one end and thicker on the other, tapering from 2 mm up to 11 mm (see photos). It is only 2" x 1" on the sliced face and weighs 15.7 grams, or .6 ounces.

Top Quality Alianza Laguna Agate Slab with Parallax

This is a slice of a premium Laguna Agate, from the Alianza Claim in Mexico. With a striking rusty-red center in the middle of a soft white banding, it has beautiful parallax on both sides! (Parallax is a 3D, shadow effect - when you move it back and forth, it's like you are seeing down into the stone). It measures 3 1/2" x 2 3/8" x just under 6 mm, and weighs 72.1 grams, or 2.5 ounces.

Laguna Agate Slab

Small Alianza Laguna Agate Slab with Parallax and Tiny Plumes!

This is another slice of a premium Laguna Agate, from the Alianza Claim in Mexico. This wonderful smaller piece has parallax visible on both sides in the fortification area and what looks like tiny plumes in part of the colorful half! It weighs 42.2 grams, or 1.5 ounces, and measures about 2 1/4" x 2" x a little less than 6 mm.
