This is a Quartz mineral specimen. It is full of shiny golden flecks of Pyrite! We don't know what the black is, possibly just part of the matrix it was formed in(?). It measures 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" x up to 1 1/4" at the wider points. The weight is 11 ounces, or 312 grams. It came to us from an old-stock collection and is natural, as found by the person who collected it; it has not been 'cleaned-up' as a specimen, but a very neat collector piece.

This is a Berber Agate geode from Morocco, natural and unpolished. It has a small cavity on one end, filled with tiny, sparkling druse Quartz crystals when you catch them in the light. The other end has the pink with the purplish-blue band surrounding a solid center of chalcedony and agate. The stone measures roughly 2.3" x 1.7" x 1.7" at the wider points, and it weighs 4.3 ounces, or 122 grams. Photos were taken inside under lighting, and it is shown from several sides. It's a beautiful specimen but looks like it could also have possibilities for cabochons if desired.

Crystallized Petrified Wood

This is a narrow branch of a sparkling piece of crystallized Petrified Wood. The person we acquired it from said he collected it from the Milky Ranch, Arizona. He said he was told it is Petrified Fern from the Triassic period (though we can't confirm that). It is very sparkly, covered in many tiny black and grey crystals, possibly some Smokey Quartz. It sits nicely. The back side has a more brown area. We have washed the material off, but not scrubbed it, so that brown might or might not wash off. It measures about 5" x 1.9" up to 3.6" tall, and 1.2" up to 1.3" thick, weighing 1 lb, 2 ounces. It's a very neat mineral specimen!

This is a fantastic natural crystal of Rutilated Smoky Quartz. It is listed among our rough material for cutting and polishing stones, but it appears to me as a wonderful mineral specimen as well, so I've included it on this page with Minerals. It is filled with beautiful golden Rutile needles, including a highly desirable starburst pattern (second photo). It weighs 338 grams, or 11.9 ounces, and measures roughly 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" at its wider points. It is rough and uncut.

This is a wonderful specimen, an Amethyst Geode from Morocco! It is filled with stalactite crystals. The coloring of the crystals has a reddish tint, we believe from Hematite. It is a complete nodule, able to be fit together. However, please note that it is delicate and we would recommend against handling it much once received. From the photos you can tell that besides the line that separates the nodule halves, there is another fracture line. It is not loose at this time, and to our knowledge, or from what we can tell, it has not been glued. But it is none-the-less an absolutely stunning display! It measures roughly 4" x 3" x 3 3/4" and weighs 1 lb 6 ounces, or 620 grams. You will receive both sides of this exact unique piece.

Fluorite Mineral Specimen

This is a beautiful crystal specimen, full of a wonderful spray of crystals! It is roughly 2" x 1 7/8" x 1 1/2" and weighs 3.9 ounces, or 112.4 grams. The matrix has what we believe is green Fluroite in it, while the most captivating part of this is the spray of crystals on the other side. We think they're Quartz, but there is a lustre on them we're not used to on Quartz. It was collected by an individual whose treasures we acquired, collected between the 1950's and 1980's. This one was in a box labeled as Fluorite, and we're pretty sure the green IS Fluorite. He collected extensively in the Mojave Desert of California, and that's where we think this one was collected. The Fluorite areas on it fluoresce purple under UV light.

This is another beauty, an Amethyst Flower, from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It has botryoidal nodules (bubbly, grape-like shapes), covered in tiny druze crystals. It is 6" x 3" at its widest points, and is as thick 24 mm high off the surface. It weighs 5.9 ounces, or 169.6 grams.
