These are specimens of TeePee Canyon Agate from South Dakota and Dryhead Agates from Montana, when we have them. Pieces may be polished, or natural and unpolished, as noted. For most of these pieces, we charge one shipping cost for all that will safely fit in the box and will ship to the U.S. as well as Internationally. For International orders, and for very large pieces (when noted in the description), there may be an additional shipping cost. If your order requires additional shipping, we will either contact you before we ship, or you can email us for an invoice.

TeePee Canyon Polished Stone

Polished Teepee Canyon Agate Specimen

This is a Teepee Canyon agate. It has a light polish on that gorgeous face (look at the close-up in the 3rd photo!). The material can be a rare find since no new mining claims have been allowed. Most pieces come from old collections, like how we found this beauty. The sliced face has a light polish on it, the rest is the natural stone. It lays back nicely at an angle, but can also stand on two sides if desired. It is roughly 3" x 2 1/4" at the wider point, and 3/4" up to 1 1/4" thick. The weight is 248 grams, or 8.7 ounces.

TeePee Canyon Agate Slab

Polished Rare Teepee Canyon Agate Slab

This is a beautiful slice of rare Teepee Canyon agate from South Dakota. We haven't had any of this material for quite awhile, but a little while back came across a few old stock pieces. This is one of the slices from this batch and it is polished on one side. It measures 4" x 1 1/2 to 2 1/4" x a little over 1/4" (apx 7mm), and weighs 108 grams, or 3.8 ounces. You can see numerous fracture lines, but normal gentle handling should help keep it all in one piece. It does not feel like it will break easily. The unpolished back is shown in the very last photo as well. It's a very nice example of this wonderful material.

Dryhead Agate Rough

Unpolished Dryhead Agate Half Nodule

This is a piece of Dryhead Agate, a single piece we found out in a batch of miscellaneous old stock material we were sorting. It is nearly a complete half nodule and even looks like it has had some grinding so it is very smooth but no shine. It is ready to be polished as a beautiful display piece, unless 'natural' is preferred. Or, some nice cabochons could be cut if desired instead. It's 4 1/2" x 3" and a little under 1" on one end and a little over 1" on the other, and weighs 13.8 oz.
