THIS SLAB OF RAINFOREST JASPER HAS ALREADY SOLD. But we do have the few pieces you see below that are available right now. Rainforest Jasper is actually a rhyolite, created from volcanic flow. The small pockets in it were gas bubbles that filled with a variety of minerals, which often result in beautiful, colorful agate. While most of it will take a nice polish, usually the light orange/peach areas are more chalky and will not polish. But the material will still yield some beautiful cabochons or polished slices.
This is a large, unpolished slice of Rainforest Jasper. There are a few pockets filled with agate, some jasper or rhyolite, and others that are a chalky white or yellowish, and some open pockets. It measures approximately 9" x 5 1/4" at the widest points, mostly 7.5-8.5 mm thick. It was photographed inside under lighting, and the last two photos are dry. Both sides are shown.

Rainforest Jasper Slab Item# 5368 Price: $37.50
This is a small unpolished slice of a Rainforest Jasper. It's what has been 'left' from having other cuts sliced from the overall piece. So there are angles and cuts in it not normally in a regular full slice of a stone. But there is still enough room for at least a couple cabs, or more depending on size. It measures a little less than 3" x 1/2 to 1 1/2" on the narrowest flat side. And on that same side, it tapers from a thin edge up to apx 7 mm thick. You can barely see it but there is a small oval template drawn on one side about center; it should polish off. The stone weighs weighs 38 grams, or 1.3 ounces. It was photographed inside under lighting, and the last two photos are dry. Both sides are shown.

Rainforest Jasper Slab Item# 5370 Price: $5.00
This is a really pretty large, unpolished slice of Rainforest Jasper. Sliced flat on one side, it has the rough outside of the stone itself. There are several agate-filled pockets, a few filled with rhyolite, and a few open pockets. It measures approximately 6 3/4" x a little over 5" at the widest points. The rough back is uneven, but mostly between 6 and 13 mm, and a small area as think as about 4 mm. It was photographed inside under lighting, and the last two photos are dry. Both sides are shown. Very neat piece for display, polished or unpolished as it is, but one could certainly cut a number of cabs as well.

We have a few pieces available below, and may still have a few others off the same large stone available upon request. If you would like to see a few more, email us and we will get more up soon.
